PNP Fair @ Capital Pride

Pride Festivals are a wonderful opportunity but come with their own list of needs (like owning a tent, paying a vendor fee higher than your typical craft/vendor fair). We’ve partnered with Capital Pride to offer a solution to allow an opportunity for small, queer makers to enjoy the fun that is being part of the Pride festival with fewer barriers.

The street festival runs August 24-25, 2024 from noon to 8pm.

Applications are due June 12, 2024 at 11:59pm.

We have a 10×30 foot area reserved and tents to match it.

We will have 8-12 vendors within this area: vendors will have, roughly, a 2 or 4 foot table space and will likely be able use the wall space behind them (tent will be designed in a large U).
The wall space will not be accessible directly to shoppers and depending on weather, walls may be up or down on the sides for rain/sun protection/breeze.

Tent, tables, and chairs will be provided.

*The community fair runs from noon to 8pm. Vendors must commit to be there the whole time on days they apply/are accepted to. Empty spaces have a negative impact on neighbouring vendors.

*Those vending on Saturday can choose to stay past 8pm as there is often still foot traffic. If you decide to do so, we suggest bringing some sort of lighting.

*The tent will not be secure overnight and we therefore ask vendors who are participating both days to bring their products and displays home overnight for their security.

*While dogs are welcome at the festival, we ask that vendors not bring their pets to stay as it may deter shoppers with animals of their own from approaching or staying in the tent.

Tent, tables, and chairs will be provided.

4ft: $30 for one day, $55 for both days.
2ft: $25 for one day, $45 for both days.

All efforts will be made to ensure a diversity of makers and prevent too much overlap between items, styles, and products.

If the vendor fee presents a barrier, we recommend looking into and applying for the ShowUp grant.

As it is a Pride Festival we will be prioritizing 2SLGBTQ+ makers. However, we reserve the right to include allies at our discretion.

Vendors are each responsible for their own change/money/payment processing.
We recommend Square for credit card/debit processing. If you don’t already have an account you can sign up here.
